3rd Africa Trade Roundtable Discussion at UPSA

The University of Professional Studies (UPSA) Law School in Partnership with CUTS International, organized the 3rd Africa Trade Roundtable discussion under the theme: “The relevance of the AfCFTA Competition Protocols on Ghana’s Industrial Transformation”.

Speaking at the event as the Guest of Honour, the Hon. Herbert Krapa, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry announced that “Senior Trade Officials of the AfCFTA Member Countries are in Accra to consider among other topical issues, the competition policy for trading on the continent”.

He added that the Ministry of Trade and Industry had through the AfCFTA Coordination office, initiated a Market Expansion Programme, designed to identify and support Ghanaian companies with the potential to export to Africa.

Other dignitaries present at the programme were; Amb Mike Oquaye Jnr, CEO Ghana Free Zones Authority, Seth Twum Akwaboah, CEO of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Mrs, Delese Mimi Darko, CEO of Food and Drugs Authority, Dr Afua Asabea Asare, CEO of Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) Mrs Catherine Ablema Afeku, Lead Strategic Communication of the National Coordination office AfCFTA, Prof. Alex Dodoo, Director-General of the Ghana Standards Authority, Dr Freed Arthur, National AfCFTA Coordinator.
