GFZA HOSTS DELEGATION FROM JRJ GROUP, INDIA

Accra, March 2026

The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), on 3rd March 2026, hosted a delegation from JRJ Group, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jawahar Pavasia, at the GFZA Head Office in Accra.

The delegation was in Ghana to explore a range of investment opportunities within Ghana’s Free Zones, including cocoa processing, confectionery manufacturing, and cashew processing, among other ventures, leveraging Ghana’s rich agricultural and industrial resources.

In her welcome remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of the GFZA, Dr. Mary Awusi, reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to facilitating export-oriented investments that promote value addition, job creation and industrial growth. She highlighted the strategic advantages of operating within Ghana’s Free Zones, particularly for agro-processing, manufacturing, and other sectors targeting international markets.

A comprehensive presentation on the Free Zones Scheme was delivered by Ms. Anita Quashie, Director of Marketing and Investment Promotion. The presentation outlined the incentive framework, licensing requirements, priority sectors, and the competitive advantages Ghana offers as a preferred investment destination in West Africa.

The presentation was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session, during which members of the JRJ Group delegation sought clarification on operational processes, regulatory requirements, and export market access.

The visit builds on the engagement initiated during Dr. Awusi’s trip to India in January 2026, when she met with the JRJ Group to explore potential investment opportunities within Ghana’s Free Zones.

Also present at the meeting were the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Operations), Mr. Lateef Apau Wiredu; the Director of Corporate Affairs, Public Relations, and Aftercare, Dr. Patience Agbleze Acorlor; the Director of Administration, Hajia Hanatu Abubakar; and the Director of Business Development and Research (BDR), Mr. Edward Adu-Ntiamoah.
