About Enterprise

Wahu Mobility Ltd is a Ghanaian electric mobility technology and manufacturing company founded in 2022 and headquartered in Accra, Greater Accra Region, Ghana. It was formed through the merger of two earlier ventures — Cargo Bikes Africa and Mana Mobility — with a mission to design, produce, and scale sustainable electric vehicles (EVs) that meet the needs of African transport markets. The company promotes eco‑friendly, locally manufactured transport solutions and is recognised as a leader in Ghana’s emerging e‑mobility industry.

The firm’s core focus is on the local design and assembly of electric bicycles (e‑bikes) that are rugged, practical, and suited to African road conditions. These e‑bikes are tailored especially for last‑mile delivery riders, gig‑economy workers, and small business transport needs. Wahu produces vehicles with swappable battery systems, reinforced suspensions and long range capabilities, and supports riders through flexible “ride‑to‑own” financing plans, making asset ownership more accessible. The company also builds an e‑mobility ecosystem with services such as maintenance, insurance, charging support, and digital rider tools via its Wahu Hero mobile app.

Wahu Mobility’s work extends beyond manufacturing — it is actively involved in clean transport innovation and climate solutions. It established Ghana’s first electric vehicle assembly plant in Accra, which gives the company the capacity to produce hundreds of e‑bikes monthly and aim for broader localisation of components. Its electric mobility programs have even secured support under climate frameworks such as the Paris Agreement carbon credit system, enabling the company to scale while contributing to greenhouse gas emission reductions. Wahu is also expanding strategic partnerships to grow its influence across West Africa and to support broader adoption of green transport.
