The Ghana Free Zones Authority and the Ejisu Traditional Council signed a Lease Agreement covering 1099 acres of land on 29th January 2022 in Kumasi. The Land forms part of the Greater Kumasi Industrial Park.
The CEO of the Authority, Amb Mike Oquaye Jnr, representing the Hon Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, the Lessee signed on behalf of the GFZA whilst the Omanhene of Ejisu Traditional Area, Nana Oguakro Afrane Okese IV signed as the confirming party for the stools under his jurisdiction referred to as the lessors.
The Chiefs, Regents, and/or representatives of the stools are; Ampabame, Apampatia, Donaso, Boankra, Duaprokye, Hwereso, Nyinataase, Abenase, Adadientem.
The signing ceremony officially paves the way for the GFZA to develop the land as an industrial enclave.
