GFZA CEO and Management Team Pay Working Visit to Blue Skies Company Limited

On 30th April 2025, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi, paid a working visit to Blue Skies Company Limited, a leading fruit processing company. She was accompanied by Mr. Apau Wiredu Lateef, Deputy CEO (Operations), along with other senior officials of the Authority.

The visit formed part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with stakeholders and strategic initiative to engage directly with Free Zone Enterprises, assess their operations, and identify both opportunities and challenges within their respective sectors.

During a tour of the factory, the GFZA delegation observed key stages of Blue Skies’ operations – from the sourcing of raw materials to the processing and packaging of fresh fruit products. The delegation also held productive discussions with Madam Ruth Adjei, Director for West Africa, and her team, to gain insights into the company’s operational model and existing challenges.

Dr. Awusi commended Blue Skies for its significant contribution to local employment and value addition in the agro-processing sector. She reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to providing continued support to help address operational challenges and to foster a more enabling environment for sustainable growth under the Free Zones Programme.

The senior officials who accompanied Dr. Awusi included Mrs. Patience Agbleze Acorlor, Director, Corporate Affairs & PR, Mr. Ziblim Alhassan, Director , Administration and Mr. Micheal Larbi, Compliance Manager.
