The GFZA CEO Participates in the National Agribusiness Dialogue

On 28th July 2025, the National Agribusiness Dialogue was held at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra. The event brought together over 300 stakeholders from the public sector, private agribusinesses, financial institutions, development partners, and farmer organizations.

The high-profile event was graced by the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.

Also in attendance were Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister of Trade, Agribusiness & Industry; Dr. Mary Awusi, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority; and other key sector ministers. Their presence underscored the government’s unwavering commitment to agricultural transformation as a critical pillar of the national resetting agenda.

The Dialogue served as a strategic platform to align agribusiness development with Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy Policy, aimed at promoting continuous productivity across key agribusiness value chains. The discussions emphasized the importance of creating an enabling environment for agribusinesses to operate around the clock, enhance value addition, boost exports, and ensure inclusive economic growth.

An exhibition for Agribusiness enterprises and stakeholders was also organised on the side-lines of the Dialogue. The GFZA mounted an exhibition booth which showcased some major components of the GFZA Scheme including incentives and enclaves. President John Dramani Mahama visited the booth and interacted with the Authority’s officials.
