GFZA Trains 35 Newly Licensed Free Zone Enterprises.

Supporting Business Growth Through Compliance and Capacity Building.

The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), through its Compliance Department, organized a capacity-building training for 35 newly licensed Free Zone Enterprises. The session aimed to help these companies understand key regulatory requirements and access the support services available under the Free Zones Scheme.

Welcoming participants, the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mary Awusi, emphasized the importance of compliance in driving business success. She encouraged the enterprises to take full advantage of the training, which was designed to equip them with practical knowledge on licensing procedures, reporting obligations, and permissible activities within the Free Zones.

Dr. Awusi also underscored the Authority’s commitment to providing continuous policy support, marketing assistance, and aftercare services to ensure a business-friendly environment. She reaffirmed the Authority’s unwavering support, stressing that under the government’s Resetting Agenda and the 24-Hour Economy Policy, strategic efforts are underway to empower Free Zones enterprises to scale up their operations and make meaningful contributions to national development.

Key GFZA departments including Compliance, Monitoring, Immigration and Agency Relations, Legal, Corporate Affairs and PR, Marketing and Investment Promotion, and Credit Control outlined their respective roles in supporting efficient and lawful business operations.

The training marks an important step in the Authority’s ongoing efforts to guide and support new businesses toward long-term growth and their contribution to Ghana’s economic development.
