The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) participated in an engagement with a Chinese business delegation hosted by the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare (MP), on Tuesday, 12th January 2025.



The GFZA delegation was led by Mr. Hamidu Sibiri Musah, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Finance & Administration), representing the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mary Awusi.
In her opening remarks, the Minister emphasized that the engagement was aimed at deepening Ghana–China relations and exploring areas of collaboration in trade, agriculture, and industry.
She encouraged the delegation to take advantage of Ghana’s favourable investment climate and the wide range of opportunities available across various sectors of the economy. The programme included a technical session that enabled agencies under the Ministry to present their mandates, programmes, and investment offerings. GFZA actively contributed to the discussions by showcasing its investment incentives, available land banks, and investor-friendly environment. Madam Anita Quashie, Director of Marketing and Investment Promotion, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Authority’s objectives and investor support structures.



Other members of the GFZA delegation included Dr. Patience Agbleze Acorlor, Director of Corporate Affairs, PR & Aftercare; Mr. Bilal Muazu, Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs; and other officers of the Authority.
The engagement brought together senior government officials, including Chief Executive Officers, Deputy Chief Executive Officers, Directors, and representatives of key government agencies, alongside private sector stakeholders such as the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) and the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI).
