The meeting brought together members of the Chamber with a strong interest in establishing and expanding their businesses in Ghana, particularly within the Free Zones and industrial park ecosystem. In an extensive presentation, Dr. Awusi highlighted Ghana’s strategic location, investor-friendly policies, and the incentives offered under the Free Zones regime, positioning Ghana as a competitive gateway to regional and global markets.

Also present at the meeting was Mr. Nana Kojo Asiedu, 1st Secretary for Trade, Tourism and Culture at the Ghana High Commission in India, who reinforced Ghana’s value proposition and assured investors of the High Commission’s commitment to supporting and facilitating their investment processes in Ghana.

The engagement provided participants with practical insights into market entry opportunities, the Government of Ghana’s industrialisation agenda, and the institutional support available to prospective investors.
Dr. Awusi also undertook site visits to two manufacturing companies in Surat—T-Con food a leading chocolate product manufacturer, and Axabul Industries Pvt Ltd, a lubricant manufacturing company. Both companies expressed strong interest in establishing operations in Ghana under the Free Zones regime, citing the country’s favourable investment climate and access to regional markets.
The mission concluded with an interactive B2B engagement session, during which Dr. Mary Awusi and the Ghana delegation networked extensively with members of the Chamber who expressed keen interest in exploring concrete investment and partnership opportunities in Ghana, particularly within the Free Zones framework. These engagements facilitated direct exchanges, relationship-building and follow-up discussions aimed at supporting market entry and business expansion into Ghana.
In furtherance of these engagements, the GFZA, in collaboration with the Surat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), is working towards hosting a 20-member business delegation from Surat in Ghana in February 2026. The visit is expected to provide firsthand exposure to investment opportunities, site visits and direct engagements with key stakeholders.
