GFZA Showcases Ghana’s Investment Potential at the Ghana–UK Investment Summit 2026

London, June 2026

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, Dr. Mary Awusi, joined President John Dramani Mahama, the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare and other senior government officials at the Ghana–UK Investment Summit 2026 in London.

Held under the theme “Restoring Investor Confidence to Unlock Opportunities and Shared Prosperity,” the summit held from 2nd -3rd June brought together investors, business leaders, development partners and members of the Ghanaian diaspora to explore new opportunities for trade, investment and economic collaboration between Ghana and the United Kingdom.

During the summit, Dr. Awusi highlighted the significant opportunities available through Ghana’s Free Zones Scheme, including attractive incentives such as a 10-year corporate tax holiday, exemptions from import duties, unrestricted repatriation of profits and dividends, and streamlined regulatory processes.

She also showcased investment opportunities across key sectors including agro-processing, textiles and apparel, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, digital infrastructure, business process outsourcing and industrial enclave development.

With over 7,000 acres of litigation-free industrial land across strategic locations in Tema, Afienya, Sekondi, Shama and Kumasi, Ghana continues to position itself as a leading destination for export-oriented investment and industrial growth.

Dr. Awusi reaffirmed GFZA’s commitment to supporting investors and facilitating strategic partnerships that drive economic transformation, job creation, and shared prosperity.
