GFZA PARTICIPATES IN INVEST GHANA BUSINESS FORUM AND EXHIBITION

Philadelphia, USA | June 2026

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr Mary Awusi, participated in the Invest Ghana Business Forum and Exhibition held in Philadelphia, USA. The event followed similar investment promotion programmes organised in Montreal and Toronto, Canada, as part of Ghana’s investment drive during the FIFA World Cup 2026, aimed at showcasing Ghana as a preferred investment destination.

A major highlight of the event was the official opening of the Ghana Trade House, a strategic initiative by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) to strengthen Ghana’s commercial presence in the United States. The Trade House provides Ghanaian exporters with a platform to engage the American business community, expand market access, and promote Made-in-Ghana products.

The Authority also participated in two other high-profile investment promotion events: the GHPAC Global Pitch, organised by the Ghana Diaspora Public Affairs Collective (GHPAC) in collaboration with the World Trade Centers (WTC) Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, and the Ghana World Cup Business Roundtable, Networking Forum and Exhibition, organised by the US-Ghana Chamber of Commerce.

At these engagements, the Authority highlighted Ghana’s attractive investment climate and encouraged the American business community to invest in the country. The GFZA showcased its competitive investment incentives designed to support businesses while assuring prospective investors of its comprehensive investor facilitation, hand-holding, and aftercare services throughout the entire investment lifecycle.

The events featured several distinguished speakers, including H.E. Victor Emmanuel Smith, Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States; Simon Madjie, Esq., Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC); and Kojo Kwarteng Arthur, Esq., Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), among other prominent public and private sector leaders.

The GFZA delegation included the Deputy Chief Executive Office (Finance & Administration), Mr. Musah Sibiri Hamidu; and Director of Business Development and Research (BDR), AfCFTA, Strategic Partnerships, and Agribusiness, Lawrence Osei-Boateng Esq.
