BUSINESS MEETING WITH BREMER LLOYD

The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) hosted Bremer Lloyd, a German logistics company, to discuss the company’s interest in establishing operations in Ghana and obtaining a licence as a Free Zone Enterprise. The meeting, held on Thursday, 8th May 2025, took place at the Authority’s Head Office in Accra.

Dr. Mary Awusi, Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, shared with the delegation the numerous opportunities available under the Free Zones Scheme for logistics businesses, as well as the growing potential of Free Zone Enterprises in the service sector. She further highlighted that Ghana is currently working towards the implementation of Special Economic Zones, which presents significant prospects for the country’s investment landscape.

Ms. Anita Novi Quashie, Director for Marketing and Investment Promotion, outlined the Scheme’s generous incentive regime and the requirements for acquiring a licence. She assured the company of the necessary support and investor facilitation services throughout the process.

Mr. Demetrius Sackmann, General Manager of Bremer Lloyd, expressed the company’s readiness to meet the necessary requirements and looked forward to a seamless onboarding process.

Also present at the meeting was Mr. Richard Ekow Mensah from the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana (AHK Ghana).
