The CEO of the Ghana Free Zones Authority on the 9th of September 2021 embarked on a working tour of the Tema Export Processing Zone (TEPZ).
The TEPZ which caters to most of the Free Zone enterprises is critical to the success and growth of Ghana’s export-focus orientation.
Speaking to a cross-section of employees, the newly appointed CEO charged managers of the TEPZ to be professional in engaging with potential investors and current enterprises within the enclave.
He intimated that the way to grow value for all stakeholders is for the team to think and act as investors themselves. “Working with the mindset of an investor will drive you to appreciate their concerns fully and address them with the speed they require.

The Tema export processing zone is the Authority’s flagship economic zone set up to provide all the essential amenities needed for the smooth operations within the enclave.
The enclave offers investors a favorable and conducive environment for manufacturing, service, and commercial export activities.
On the current concerns of some dormant businesses transferring their land usage to unlicensed companies, he charged the managers to intensify the intra-enclave monitoring to ensure that companies comply with laid-down rules.
Amb. Michael A.N.N.Y Oquaye stated that “The trend of Dormant companies transferring land rights to other companies without recourse to the Authority should be curtailed. Lands being used by any company that chooses to delist should revert to the Authority”.
The CEO was accompanied on the tour by Mr. Ziblim Alhassan, Director of Administration, Mr. Lawrence Osei-Boateng, Technical advisor to the CEO, Mr. Benjamin Obeng, Assistant Estate and Zones Manager, Mr. Michael Harry-Ansah, and Mr. Agyepong, Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs.
The visit forms part of the CEO’s drive to engage with all relevant stakeholders and personnel working across the various offices, enclaves, and regions.
