CEO’S VISIT TO SELECTED ENTERPRISES IN TEMA EXPORT PROCESSING ZONE

On Wednesday, 22nd April 2024, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi, paid a working visit to two Free Zones Enterprises (FZEs) located within the Tema Export Processing Zone (EPZ). The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the Authority’s relationship with the enterprises and provide a platform for discussing operational concerns. Her first stop was at Cocoa Touton Ltd., a cocoa processing company, where she was received by the Managing Director, Mr. Stéphane N’guettia, and his team.

She then proceeded to Dignity DTRT Ltd., an apparel manufacturing company, where she met with the Managing Director, Mrs. Salma Salifu, and her team. Dr. Awusi was impressed with the operations of both companies, particularly Dignity DTRT, which employs over 6,000 people, with approximately 80% being women. She also commended both companies for implementing the 24-Hour Economy Policy as well as their strong commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. She assured Management of the Authority’s commitment to finding solution to any operational challenges they may encounter. The visit was productive and reinforced GFZA’s dedication to addressing enterprise needs and enhancing infrastructure within the Zone.


Dr. Awusi was accompanied by Mr. Ziblim Alhassan, Director, Administration, Mrs. Patience Agbleze Acorlor, Director, Corporate Affairs, Madam Joyce Amapps, Director, Monitoring, Mr. Lawrence Osei Boateng, Director, Tema Office and other officers from various units of the Authority.
