The awards recognizes high-performing consumer brands, forward-thinking organizations and outstanding individuals whose work exemplifies excellence in brand management, digital strategy, storytelling and consumer engagement.
The 14th MWA Ghana Edition, held on 27th November 2025 at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, honoured individuals and organizations driving communication excellence in the country. The ceremony celebrated brands that continue to tell compelling stories, transform consumer experiences, leverage social media effectively, and media personalities and entertainers who passionately promote Ghanaian brands—ultimately contributing to the nation’s economic and creative growth.
Delivering the keynote address, Ms. Shamima Muslim, Deputy Presidential Spokesperson, encouraged public and private institutions to use their communication platforms to tell the story of the achievements of the government. She was also honoured for her advocacy for women.
The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) was named Public Sector Brand of the Year (Trade & Industry) in recognition of its impactful brand communication. Additionally, the Director of Corporate Affairs, PR & Aftercare, Dr. Mrs. Patience Agbleze Acorlor, received the award for Public Sector PR Leader of the Year (Trade & Industry) for her exemplary leadership in advancing the GFZA’s communication efforts.
These honours reflect the outstanding leadership of the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mary Awusi; the dedication of her Deputies, Mr. Hamidu Sibiri Musah (Finance & Administration) and Mr. Lateef Apau Wiredu (Operations); the commitment of the Corporate Affairs Team; and the hard work of the entire GFZA Team, whose collective effort continues to steer the GFZA toward excellence.
