GFZA ENGAGES TRADE & INVESTMENT KWAZULU-NATAL ON EXPORT AND INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) received a delegation from Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN), South Africa, at its Head Office in Accra on Monday, 24 August 2026, for discussions aimed at strengthening trade and investment cooperation between Ghana and South Africa.

In her opening remarks, the CEO of GFZA, Dr. Mary Awusi, welcomed the delegation and expressed the Authority’s readiness to deepen collaboration with Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal. She highlighted the opportunities available under Ghana’s Free Zones Scheme and encouraged South African companies, particularly those from KwaZulu-Natal, to consider Ghana as a strategic investment destination and gateway to the wider African market.

As part of the engagement, the Director of Marketing and Investment Promotion, Ms. Anita Quashie, delivered a presentation on Ghana’s Free Zones Scheme, highlighting the incentives, export opportunities, investment prospects and support available to businesses seeking to establish operations in Ghana.

The discussions also explored opportunities for collaboration and information-sharing to support South African businesses interested in expanding their operations, investing in Ghana and accessing new markets.

GFZA continues to position Ghana as a competitive investment destination and remains committed to facilitating strategic partnerships that promote investment, export growth, industrialisation and economic transformation.

Also in attendance were the Deputy CEO in charge of Operations, Mr. Lateef Apau Wiredu, as well as directors and officers of the Authority.
