On 2nd May 2025, Dr. Kweku Oteng, Chief Executive Officer of Angels Group of Companies, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi.
The visit focused on Dr. Oteng’s interest in securing a Free Zones Licence as part of his broader vision to expand the Group’s industrial footprint and enhance its export capabilities.
During the discussions, Dr. Awusi highlighted the strategic advantages offered under the Free Zones Scheme, including competitive tax incentives; streamlined access to regional markets under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) as well as international markets; and opportunities for enhanced global competitiveness. She acknowledged that Angels Group of Companies—renowned for its contributions to local manufacturing and job creation—would be well-positioned to thrive within the Free Zones ecosystem.
The Authority looks forward to facilitating the company’s integration into the Free Zones Scheme and supporting its growth and expansion ambitions.
