The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) participated in the launch of the 2025 Annual Investment Report on Friday, 21 August 2026, at the Bank Square of the Bank of Ghana in Accra.
The report is a collaborative effort of the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA), Bank of Ghana, Petroleum Commission and the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA). It provides comprehensive information on Ghana’s investment landscape, including trends in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), to support evidence-based policymaking, investment promotion and informed decision-making.



The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, who was the keynote speaker, highlighted the importance of investment to Ghana’s industrialisation, job creation and economic growth. She noted that the report would serve as a useful tool for assessing the country’s investment progress and informing strategies to improve the investment environment. She also commended the collaborating institutions for producing the report.
Representing the Chief Executive Officer of GFZA, Dr. Mary Awusi, the Deputy CEO for Operations, Mr. Lateef Apau Wiredu, joined other stakeholders at the launch and commended the collaborating institutions for their efforts in producing the report. He noted that the report provides an important reference for assessing Ghana’s investment performance and identifying opportunities to attract further investments and promote sustainable economic growth.



The launch brought together heads of government institutions, investors, Ambassadors, representatives of private sector organisations and other key stakeholders in Ghana’s investment ecosystem.
GFZA continues to contribute to the country’s investment promotion efforts through the facilitation of Free Zones investments, provision of investment incentives and support for export-oriented enterprises to expand their operations and access regional and international markets.
Also present were the Director for Marketing and Investment Promotion, Ms. Anita Quashie; Director for Applications and Licensing, Mr. Fred Agyei-Gyan; Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs, PR & Aftercare, Mr. Bilal Muazu Sulemana; and other officers of the Authority.
