
The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi, hosted a delegation from the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) on Thursday 19th March 2025 at the Authority’s Head Office in Accra. The Meeting was aimed at deepening the existing partnership between both organizations and discuss avenues for further collaboration.
Representatives of the GNCCI in the meeting underscored the need for further collaboration in areas such as Agribusiness and Industrialization. They stressed the need to nurture business in the value chain to adhere to international standards thereby making their commodities viable for the export market. They proposed a collaboration with the GFZA on a “GFZA-GNCCI Internship Project” for members of their “Junior Chambers” in some selected tertiary institutions in Ghana.
Dr. Awusi noted in her opening remarks that, the GNCCI and the GFZA has a good working relationship and members of Chamber played a very important role in Ghana’s Agribusiness and Industry value chain. She reiterated the need for businesses to strictly adhere to international standard to stay competitive on the market. She expressed excitement about the GFZA-GNCCI Internship Project and was committed to make it become a reality.
