GFZA Showcases Investment Opportunities at Ghana, China Presidential Business Forum in Beijing.

Beijing, 18th October 2025

On the sidelines of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama’s official visit to Beijing, Ghana hosted a Presidential Business Forum on 14th October 2025. The Forum brought together high-level government officials, industry leaders, and investors from both nations to explore new opportunities in trade and investment.

Ghana and China share a long standing relationship built on mutual respect, cooperation, and shared aspirations for development. Over the decades, this partnership has evolved from collaboration in infrastructure and energy to a broader focus on industrialization, manufacturing, and technology transfer key pillars of Ghana’s economic transformation agenda.

The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), led by its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mary Awusi, participated actively in the Forum and held strategic engagements with Chinese business leaders on the vast opportunities available under Ghana’s Free Zones Scheme.

The event also provided a platform to showcase Ghana’s investment potential through an interactive GFZA exhibition booth, which highlighted the country’s incentives, thriving export sectors, and success stories. The booth served as a focal point for networking and engagement, attracting strong interest from Chinese investors eager to explore Ghana’s export-oriented industries.

Notably, the GFZA has already registered several significant Chinese investments across sectors such as manufacturing (textile and apparel) and enclave development, among others a clear testament to the growing investor confidence in Ghana’s Free Zones regime.

As Ghana deepens its collaboration with China, the future looks promising one defined by sustainable partnerships, increased trade volumes, and shared prosperity.
