GFZA, Tony Blair Institute and Partners Engage Global Investors in Textile & Apparel Roadshow.

Accra, Tuesday, 11th November 2025.

The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), in collaboration with the Tony Blair Institute and other partners, hosted a Business Meeting at the GFZA Head Office as part of the Ghana Textile & Apparel Roadshow 2025, themed, Ghana, Your Next Apparel Destination.

The meeting brought together textile and garment manufacturing operators from Europe, Asia and Africa. Participants included representatives from key state institutions and development partners such as the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, the German Development Cooperation (GIZ), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and the International Labour Organization (ILO). Also in attendance were Directors and Managers of the Ghana Free Zones Authority.

On behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mary Awusi, Mr. Hamidu Sibiri Musah, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Finance & Administration) formally welcomed participants and encouraged them to leverage the Free Zones Scheme by joining the growing community of companies operating under Ghana’s export led framework.

Ms. Anita Novi Quashie, Director of Marketing and Investment Promotion, delivered a detailed presentation highlighting the Free Zones Scheme and the vast opportunities available to investors within Ghana’s textile and apparel industry. Her presentation underscored the incentives offered to Free Zone Enterprises, Ghana’s conducive business environment, and the availability of litigation-free land within the Free Zones Enclaves for seamless business establishment.

The meeting also featured presentations from the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the German Development Cooperation (GIZ), the International Labour Organization (ILO), Firstcode, and leaders from the textile and apparel sector.

Following the meeting, representatives from the Authority accompanied the delegation on a visit to Bright International Free Zone in Afienya to gain insights into its operations and explore potential opportunities for textile and apparel enterprises.

The GFZA remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering collaboration, attracting investment, and promoting sustainable growth within Ghana’s export-led textile and apparel sector.
