The Afienya Industrial Park is the latest addition to the Authority’s four existing Zones. The newly acquired Zone is located in Afienya in the Greater Accra Region and covers 1238.22 acres (501.10 hectares) of land. The Zone is about 20km from the Tema Harbour and 35km from the Accra International Airport. There is also access to the Tema-Mpakadan railway line, a 96.7 km standard gauge railroad being constructed from Tema to Mpakadan to facilitate the movement of goods along the Eastern corridor of Ghana.
