Advancing a renewed Investment Proposition: GFZA Joins Launch of Invest Ghana Summit

The Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA) launched the maiden edition of Invest Ghana Summit and the Ghana Club 100 Awards 2026 on 7th October 2026 at their premises. The launch was held under the theme, “Invest in Ghana’s New Economy: Building a Productive Economy that Creates Value and Competes Globally.” The events are scheduled for November 2026.

In his opening remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of GIPA, Mr. Simon Madjie, highlighted Ghana’s strengthened macroeconomic stability and the restoration of investor confidence. He noted that Ghana is becoming increasingly competitive and attractive as an investment destination, stressing the need to present a renewed investment proposition to the global community.

Delivering the keynote address, the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, described the Summit as highly relevant to “the Ghana we are building.” She commended GIPA for creating platforms to attract investment and highlighted the Ministry’s strengthened collaboration with GIPA to attract quality investments and position Ghanaian businesses to compete successfully in the global market.

In her remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, Dr. Mary Awusi, commended GIPA for the initiative, noting that the Summit would provide an important platform for investors, business leaders, policymakers and development partners to explore opportunities and deepen business engagement in Ghana.

She noted that GFZA and GIPA have, over the years, maintained a strong working relationship in advancing Ghana’s investment promotion agenda which has supported efforts to promote Ghana as an investment destination, facilitate investor engagement and create greater awareness of opportunities available to both domestic and international investors.

Dr. Awusi further highlighted the Authority’s partnership with GIPA in the Ghana Club 100 Awards, noting that the Authority has participated in previous editions. She said the continued collaboration reflects the Authority’s recognition of the private sector’s critical role in driving economic transformation and its commitment to celebrating enterprises that demonstrate innovation, productivity, competitiveness and value creation.

She further reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to establish, grow and compete effectively in international markets. She also encouraged the private sector to leverage Ghana’s emerging investment opportunities to drive sustainable economic growth and job creation.

Other GFZA officials present at the launch included the Director of Marketing & Investment Promotion, Ms. Anita Novi Quashie, as well as officers from the Corporate Affairs, PR & Aftercare and Marketing & Investment Promotion Departments.
