The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi, has received Mr. Mohamed Taher, Director for International Development at YES PAC, an Egyptian beverage packaging company, who paid a courtesy call on the Authority to learn more about the Free Zones concept and explore potential investment opportunities in Ghana. The meeting was facilitated by the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPC).


During the engagement, Mr. Taher was briefed on the Free Zones Scheme, with emphasis on the unique advantage of simultaneously benefiting from both the **Ghana Free Zones Scheme and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Dr. Awusi assured Mr. Taher of the Authority’s full support and guidance to ensure a smooth process in establishing a company under the scheme. She underscored Ghana’s political stability, reliable electricity supply, strategic position as host of the AfCFTA Secretariat, and growing economic resilience as compelling reasons for investment.


The CEO further commended YES PAC for considering Ghana as an investment destination and reaffirmed GFZA’s commitment to forging partnerships that create jobs, enhance trade, and drive national development.
