The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) participated in the 2025 Black History Festival, held from March 27–29 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The event, themed “Bridging Continents, Celebrating Legacies, and Promoting Trade,” was organized in partnership with BIDEC Inc., the AU Mission to the USA, and the City of College Park. GFZA’s delegation, led by Mrs. Patience Agbleze Acorlor, Director, Corporate Affairs & PR, promoted Ghana’s Free Zones Scheme through a dedicated information desk and panel discussion.
The festival included panels, exhibitions, and networking aimed at fostering trade and unity within the African diaspora. The Ghanaian delegation also engaged with local officials and business leaders, explored investment interests—particularly in chocolate manufacturing—and held meetings with the College Park City Council, ATL-Airport Chamber of Commerce, Atlanta Black Chamber of Commerce, Nospora Company and others.
President Mahama was honored with the Star Prize at the Black Makers Award. A representative of Nospora Company is scheduled to visit Ghana in April 2025, while the Atlanta Black Chamber of Commerce plans a visit to Ghana in March 2026.
Mrs. Acorlor was accompanied by Ms. Maame Ajara Martinson, Senior Officer, Business Development and Research, and Mr. Eugene Kojo Assempah, Senior Officer, Estate and Zones.
